Chris Oberholtz
Digital Content Producer
Chris Oberholtz joined the Fox Weather team in September 2021 as a digital content producer.
After graduating from The Missouri School of Journalism at University of Missouri-Columbia in 2003, he began his journalism profession at The Kansas City Star as a photojournalist.
During his time on the newspaper staff, he documented numerous severe weather events across the Midwest and traveled to New Orleans in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina and Rita to visually tell stories of destruction, recovery and rebuilding.
In 2011, Chris left print journalism to join the broadcast team at KCTV5 News (CBS), a Gray Television station in Kansas City, as a digital producer. After promoted to digital content manager in 2016, Chris was an integral part of launching the station’s OTT platforms and accelerating online readership to nearly 30 million users annually. He has been awarded multiple national, regional and state awards for breaking news coverage and website design.
